Research

I am interested in studying the formation of the Universe's first galaxies, their development in the Epoch of Reionization, and galaxy formation in general using cosmological simulations.

Here's my list of publications. Below are some projects I've worked on.

Hypervelocity Stars

The fastest stars in the Milky Way can provide useful information about the Galaxy including its potential and total mass. However, there is currently no consensus on how these fast objects are accelerated to their current day velocities. We use a technique known as 'chemical tagging' as well as orbit integration to answer where the fast stars physically originate from and what Galactic component their chemistry points to.
